Hello all. So last time i had to buy any accessories from the old super Skoda site (Kopacek) was pre Brexit. I am just looking for the usual rubber mats mud flaps bumper guard etc and was a bit shocked by the almost 100 euro postage cost ! but i still reckon that it will be cheaper than buying from the UK dealers, What i am unsure about is if any import tax / duty will apply and how to work it out. Does anyone have any experience of this paying this from stuff ordered recently. Also anyone aware of any discount codes to help soften the blow.

Fully expecting a pre face lift as thats what I ordered, but you can always hope. What ever happened to car company's releasing special editions fully.loaded with all the left over bits before a model change ! Got a few very well equipped VWs this way about 15yr ago.

Yes. I normally use the likes of Car wow, Drive the Deal, & Motor source to price up my cars before going to the local dealer with the cheapest price for them to match. I ordered my Octavia SEL on Wednesday the 28th February and noticed that 1 day later it was no longer available on the sites, hence my anticipation on what i will get. Dealer did say it should be pre face lift but with the dates being so close could not rule out if some parts could be from the new face lift !! Not to fussy about some of the interior or mechanical stuff but would like the new front end headlights !!

Hello All. I have just order a new Octavia 1.5p SEL HB with a 16 week lead time so expecting mid to late July which according to the internet will also be the same time that all the newer style will be hitting the roads . My order was for pre face lift so not expecting the newer model although builds will be very close and would be nice as i do prefer the new front end. The pre facelift is still a decent car and the only thing i think lets it down in my opinion is the headlights. I much prefer the look of the full LED matrix set on the current VRS. So my question is, If i don't get the face lift, then if i could find a set of newish VRS headlights reasonable from say a rear end right off would they be an easy switch into a standard mark 4 SEL model of the same year ?

Hello ALL. Just PX my 2017 Superb 2lt D manual SEL Exec estate for a brand new Octavia 1.5 P manual SEL HB. ( no longer do the high miles or have the dogs and prams needed for the big estate although the HB Octavia being only 5" shorter is defiantly not a poor compromise). I have been given a 16 week lead time for new build which take us to end of July 2024. My order was for the current pre facelift but i am aware from social media that the automotive industry journalists and testers who have already been releasing reviews on the facelift model which i have read will be on the roads by early summer so the builds must be about to start this month. Just wondering what folk think are my chances of receiving one of the first face lift or will it be as ordered and last of the pre facelift out of the factory ? its going to be very close but i reckon the latter.

All sorted, further investigation showed both codes pointed towards a faulty glow plug relay control switch. Not a major issue but would appear to be quite common. Superb now traded away for a brand new Octavia 4 SE L HB 1.5p, still to be built in factory due in 16wk. Ordered and paid for pre face lift but fingers crossed could be right on the cusp of the change over.

2017 superb estate 2lt diesel manual sel exec estate. with only 52000 miles. Car has had very little use in last year. Was struggling to start. Originally thought battery of about 4yrs was done. managed to jump start of battery pack. Engine warning light came on. Took car to garage, who said battery was fine and lights probably just down to the jump start, lights deactivated. Was cleaning car next day as about to sell trade it in , so had radio playing for about 2hrs, battery totally drained so decided garage was wrong and bought new battery. fitted new battery and car starts better than before but still with slight hesitation. Plug in OBD Veepeak and is giving me the following codes. i can cancel and they will stay off for a day of stop start driving but eventually come back. PO684 = i believe to be glow plugs and or control unit. General advice would be to change 4 plugs and unit at same time. any thoughts otherwise ? 04976 = unsure this could be many sensor type faults but also read about bad oil and filter ? car was only serviced 6 month ago ? any thoughts ? 00012 5f = no idea about this one ?
