How many seals are used to fit a 2.0 tdi thermostat ( the normal small steel one) It all came out a bit suddenly and bits went everywhere. The kit i bought has about 6 seals. Looked online but cant find a definitive guide as they all seem to be " fitting is reverse of removal" Any links / videos/ pics or descriptions would be gratefully recieved.

The car doesnt start. It appears i have been approaching this from the wrong direction. The sytem is -ive switching not +ive. I have found someone who knows all about it and he is coming out to take a look.

I have changed the relay under the bonnet but it doesnt seem to make any difference.

I have no voltage at the fuse and 12 volts at the bottom and left terminal with the ignition on.

Checked fuse. All ok. Is this the fusebox you are expecting?

2006 diesel. Can anyone tell me how the power is supplied to the switching side of the tank pump relay? I have the main power to the relay but no power to the switching side when the ignition is turned on. Is it supplied via just a fuse or another relay. Location/ number of the fuse / relay would be appreciated.

Living in Dorset .Been running a mk1 Octavia for a while. Do all of my own repairs where possible.
