Car is a 2010 Fabia 2 1.2HTP. The rear washer is not working. I can hear the pump working and it is pumping as far as the rear wiper motor. I took the pipe off the back of the motor on the tailgate and water was spraying out. But when it is put back on the motor the pump runs but it does not spray. Is there some sort of valve in the rear wiper motor assembly. I poked a pin into the nozzle and it seems to be clear. Any suggestions?

Turns out the insurance company transported it back to the Home address. So all good.

Is the workshop manual posted by UrbanPanzer available online anywhere?

Hi Folks - I need a favour - is anyone on here in or near Loughborough? I am in Scotland, my daughter is at College in Loughborough and she was involved in a very minor low speed car accident the other day, the Fabia has damage to the pass side headlight and wing. Because of the age (2010) the insurance company have just written it off without even inspecting it. She has sent me photographs and from what I can see it is only panel damage and a replacement front wing that is needed. I am therefore considering a buy back and repair it. Being 18 and having little knowledge of cars, my daughter is not much use - Is there anyone with a bit of knowledge that could cast a quick look at it to see if there is anything more that I cant see. Alternatively can anyone recommend a local garage/bodyshop that would be happy to fit second hand parts and not looking to take the pre-verbial to repair it. I would normally do it myself, but because of the distance it is not really practical. Thanks

I am looking at options to add rear speakers to a 1.2 HTP. I am looking at either fitting them to the doors in the standard position, or alternatively on the c-pillar - there is a handy speaker size 'hole' in the body and easy routes for the cable down to the floor and under the carpet to the headunit. Has anyone gone down this route? Are these 'holes' for speakers in a higher spec model?? Is there an alternative c-pillar trim which has a grill rather than being solid? (before I butcher the existing trim). What are pins on the head unit for rear speakers? (it is an aftermarket unit, but plugs into the standard ISO plug on the loom, and has not had anything changed on it)

My daughter recently got a 2010 (59) Fabia 2 1.2HTP. I have a bluetooth and also USB wired OBD2 reader. In the past I have used FORSCAN for ford cars, this is a free downloaded software is pretty good. Is there a specific software for Skoda/VAG of that age? The issue I want to look at is a very slight misfire/judder. Particularly noticeable when it is sitting at idle. Every 45/60 secs or so the revs drop a bit and it gives a judder/shudder, then idles ok. I am not sure when it was last serviced or plugs changed, but I want see if there are any error codes before I start changing things.

I have just bought my daughter a 2009 1.2HTP as for her first car. So far I am pretty pleased with it. I am still trying to get to grips with the differences in models, facelift/prefacelift etc etc. - when was the facelift on the Mk2? This one must be the base model - no aircon, no remote for CDL, 2 speaker stereo etc etc. I have been having a look on the various market sites (ebay, gumtree, aliexpress etc etc), there seem to be plenty of parts and accesories available at fairly good prices. I am trying to find out if there is anything that I can easily fit that will plug to the existing loom? and what simple upgrade are available. Is there a list somewhere of compatible items from other VAG vehicles? Are there standard DRL's that can be fitted? either changing headlights or adding fog lights (what would the factory fog light be at that age)?

I have exactly the same issue. I have checked and repaired broken wires at the drivers door and have checked the continuity on all the wires. I cant find any breaks. The passengers side window works from the passenger side switch and both work with the key in the door lock. Neither window works from the dual switch on the driver side. I have assumed this is a fault with the switch and have ordered a new one as they are not expensive. Is there anything else that it could be? Is there an ECU controlling the windows, or does the fact that they work with the key point to the switch?
