  1. Hey I’ve been getting “Keyless Error Access” since yesterday. I cant go to a mechanic it’s holiday here at the moment, anything i could do? I tried playing with the key, turning car off and on. I also had a pdr the previous day on the right door. Anything i could try,it wont stop pinging while driving.
  2. i agree with you, i think that naturally the Official Shops for Skoda should be the best ones but the reality of it they are just not.. ( in israel) . before buying my car i did a research about them, i thought it is not that bad as people claim it to be but the reality of it is that they just are. israel passed a law that any Workshop recognized by Ministry of Transportation are able to treat cars under warranty and the official importer must still respect the warranty so im not losing anything im just choosing the best Doctor for her. i think from this post onward is just a matter of experience with time i will form a more clear opinion of what i think is best for her and what works for me.
  3. Money is not part of my considerations, I do not care if it is expansive or not I like my car and saving on it will not be something I will do. official workshops are private workshops bought by the local importer “champion motors” basically a partnership , they are expansive yes but they are unprofessional often your car will return damaged wether visually or mechanically and this is based on VAG cars my parents owned or based on the local vw,seat,Skoda,Audi and Cupra groups. Israel is a small country there are not many private workshops, for the VAG group there are 3 main ones which have dedicated thier shops for VAG only and are very professional some of them are older than Israel itself and some of them just adore the brand . all in all I want the best for my car and my considerations are based on what I think is best for her for the long run . (private shops have all the equipment the official ones do and more )
  4. That is quite a nice chart! I absolutely agree with you 15k km or 1 year is a long time imo , and an overall check is just the right way.
  5. Skodas in Israel have a two year warranty and if you add extra money you get a 3 year . no manufacturer offers 3 years anyway not even Subaru which used to offer 5 years . i got a family discount there for I have a 3 years, the average costumer will get a 2 years .
  6. That depends on where you go , the official dealership will not inspect anything just oil and filter as recommended in the service book. Private shops are more recommended here for the VAG group and they will do a total inspection of the car.
  7. I will have to check exactly what they use here and maybe ask for recommendation here , the main dealership from what I’ve seen literally use a can that says “Skoda” or “Vw” on it maybe it’s to hide what they use idk . i will go to an aftermarket shop as they are better here but will ask exactly what he puts in the car .
  8. I see DerekU, Thanks a lot that covers up a lot of the confusion I had. Usually the official Skoda shop uses only OEM parts with me being able to bring aftermarket I want , I think with your explanation it’s best to just fit oem.
  9. Hey I’m nearing my first service on my Fabia I own the 1.5 engine Fabia . the first service is supposed to be just oil and filter I was told my locals I can bring my own things to the shop if that’s something I want. My mechanic uses the oem vw oil and parts but I was wondering if there is any better oils I could bring . i live in the Middle East if climate matters thanks in advance! (It’s my first car I don’t know if it truly matters)
  10. I did not actually check it just feels like it cools less and I get sweaty, the Fabia actually has a really good ac.
  11. 9800km I put it on 16 and it’s 36C outside, I know temperatures are high but it feels slightly off recently
  12. Thanks a lot I’ll look up a replacement and if it needs to be replaced feels like the cooling is off slightly
  13. Anyone knows where the ac air filter is located ? And what brand I could replace with?
  14. My Fabia came with Kumoh ectsa ps71, bought it brand new.
  15. Anyone knows the sizes for FABIA 1.5 2024
