  1. Would I have to undo all the cables and hoses at the back of the engine bay?
  2. Bolts in the engine. I.e. in the threads where it should go into.
  3. Also another question, what’s the torque spec for those bolts? Preferably in Nm. I’ve seen 34ft/lbs then 90 degrees but I might be wrong.
  4. Did you find yourself with lots of room to take out the sheared bolt out of the engine while it’s still in the bay or did you have to take out the engine?
  5. On that note, have people had any experience with taking those bolts out of the engine if they’ve sheared? I.e. half of bolt thread in the mount, spinning freely, and the other half in the engine.
  6. I did see some on eBay. £22.98 for a set of 3 bolts! Rip
  7. Wow, didn’t know this existed, will take a look. Thanks @Breezy_Pete
  8. Hi all, What are the part numbers for the bolts that go into the right hand side (under expansion bottle) engine? The mount they go through is part number 04L 199 207 into the engine. I can’t seem to find anyone selling them as a kit? Thanks
  9. Ah I see! thanks for that information. I’ll try a bleeding the brakes first then work my way up to that.
  10. Ruuuuuuude 😆. I’m new to this, but eager to learn
  11. Get a different manual; I've never owned a car with disc brakes that didn't have a servo I did some very light research, may have been a brake booster? Or is that a servo?
  12. Hi, I’ve recently bought a 2014 Octavia 2.0 TDI and I’ve noticed that the brake pedal looses its normal “slack” and becomes slow to release. Has anyone else had this? I’ve looked up if it’s the servo but apparently diesels don’t have one? Thanks for the help
  13. Hi, recently bought an Octavia 3 2014 and am looking forward to using the forum for tips and tricks and advice!
