Update, just did the basic settings using obd11; the error code is not showing anymore but the clinging sound still there. It went silent for some minutes but once i start moving the car the sound came back again. Apparently the car need a new clutch kit 🙃🙃, will drive it back the same distance and hopefully it will allow me to do so 🙏

Yes, i contacted a DSG technician and he told me its pure hardware issue and the basic settings will not support

Yes you are correct, it only happened next day after driving the 400 km. I have to drive back the same distance to get the hardware checked. 👍🏼 thanks a million for your prompt responses and help

Im a bit confused because they spent from 13:00 till 21:00 trying different coding approaches and eventually they enabled the camera but was not to activate the MF despite the fact that its brand new original steering wheel, also the apple car play still not working. Eventually i had to leave and they told me to replace the MF and try apple car play with original cable which i did and still not able to get it to work. my conclusion is that they are not professional and that gives me the impression that they did something wrong which caused the gearbox to fail

Hey gurus, just had a lot of coding work to my car to retrofit 2019 infotainment system with camera, afterwards i was traveling for vacation (400 km, 39 degree climate) and once I arrived the transmission was acting wrong at low speed ( around 1st to second gear, i connected my OBDEleven and error P177D00 showed, with another one, i deleted the error and still the P177D is there. with my knowledge i understand its something related to the mechatronics as the gearbox stuck at high gear and is not moving to the required gear. The reverse is not showing any issue only when i move forward i hear the noise and the car doesnt move unless i change the gear to N then D for multiple times. My question is could it be that the workshop did something wrong with the coding which resulted into this? As i understand they had to trick the car to change the motor code. Second question; i have obdeleven free licence so im bot able to set basic settings to the gearbox but if this will fix the problem at least i can drive the car back home i will purchase the pro version. im currently in Egypt so its verry hot and humid thanks a million in advance

@Gammyleg thats is very helpfull. true i dont have any errors related to the gearbox. can you share the item number and capacity of the oil that i need to get? i tried to google but i want to make sure 100% that what i get is the coerrect one.

Most probably will do the software update + DSG repair kit and as a consequence the oil must be changed. I guess also i will change the oil to the miniral oil as suggested by VAG. Let us see what will happen. Will post here back the outcome 👍🏼

Just found this information on my obd diagnostic tool. Does this mean i need the software update?

@Rooted thanks a lot for the detailed reply, skoda egypt informed me that there is no recall/ update for this car when i went to them after reading the replies on this post history. When i tried the gearbox specialists in an Egyptian form for technicians they suggested different approaches like: 1- mechatronics replacement. 2- gearbox oil change 3- stop sensor 4- hydraulic oil not full 5- mechatronic oil pressure leak Since they didnt agree on one fix i though to ask here if the original poster had ever fixed the problem

It worth mentioning that the car currently on 70,000 mile and when I connected my OBD diagnostic tool (OBDelevn) it doesnt show any error related to the gearbox or sensors. Only 1 error related to gateway (U006500) and 1 dashboard ( U111000)

@Rooted i actually dont know if its a DQ200 or not. Its 2014 1.4 TSI DSG 7 speed. the car located in Egypt and no there was no such service campaigns in Egypt. in regards to high pressure / Temperature i dont think this is the case for my car as it usually happens when i resume driving after a complete stop for some time (>10 minutes) or sometimes it happens even in the mornings when i start the car and try to move. After moving from P to D and after releasing the brakes it keep asking for pressing the brake again. When i ignore and try to push the gas pedal, the RPM doesnt rise more than 2 until i follow the instruction to push the break and then its working flawlessly.

I unfortunately have the same problem and im clueless how to fix it. Did you ever found the solution?
