Ok thank you for your advice, a friend has a reader, I’ll check if it’s compatible. Good call on the exhaust silencer, the bracket on the one side of the exhaust box have come loose and perhaps caused some internal damage. I will also try the DPF cleaner, is the brand called Simple? How do I know if it’s a differential pressure switch issue ? Thanks for your help, much appreciated

Yes I was reasured that cambelt and water pump was done, checked the MOT history on line and looks good with no major issues Do the brakes need stripping / cleaning / serviced, the brake fluid, are the wiper, tyres etc OK. Suspension all good etc. Coolant a good strength. I checked all this and all good

Hi, I have just purchased a Skoda fabia estate, when I turn it on, it says change/service the deisel particulate filter, can anyone give advice on weather using a cleaning solution or paying a company to clean it is worth doing first, before replacing it, they are extremely expenive to replace, around £500, ouch? Any advice appreciated Its Fabia 1.6 TDI 2014 MODEL When I drive up hills the power drops off big time. I have driven the car from London to Cornwall and it did not regen? Also, its at 68000 miles, has no service history, should I do a major service or take it to a mechanic?
