  1. Hey there, I have a 2005 Octavia 1.9 TDI and I was thinking about retrofitting cruise control into the car. I read some topics about it but most of them were about FL and more recent year models. Some said before 2005 or including that year need some extra wiring done. Was wondering if maybe somebody can help about a little bit with which stalk do I need or OEM part numbers, just the usual. The exact make year of the car is 23/03/2005 Steering Wheel Controller: 1K0 953 549 G in the coding it said “with Board Computer and w/o CCS” and also “3/4 Spoke Steering Wheel with Multifunction w/o Cruise and Voice Control” If anybody has any tips, let me know. Thanks
  2. That is so odd, on my friends car which is a 2003 Octavia Mk1, we are able to code the needle sweep but not on mine. I have some little hope that maybe somebody knows about it something. Since you can see that if you make a scan so all of the needles do a sweep, that they in fact, can do it but not by a coding way. Strange
  3. Hey there, I just got done putting my Mk2 2005 year Octavia pre-fl on VCDS to set up some things there. I got 2 problems: 1. problem: I've got LEDs as the fog lights but they keep turning off after 4ish seconds (also the CANBUS error is showing on the dash). Tried to turn some settings off but for the sweet life of me we can't find what to turn off so the CANBUS doesn't sense that the bulb is faulty and so that way the LEDs can work. 2. problem: I have the option "Default settings" greyed out in VCDS Can't access Long coding in the "17 - Instrument cluster" settings to set up Needle sweep I have a pre-facelift model but have the maxidot cluster "with the big screen in the middle" Can here anybody point me to the correct direction or give some advice? Thanks.
