  1. Thanks softscoop.
  2. Blue, TBH I was expecting Skoda build quality, not Ford build quality. Paws, thanks for the suggestions, I'm on a learning curve here.
  3. Hello again chaps, Considering a 51 plate 1.9 estate, so assuming this is a mk1 w/o DPF - so far so good. It's done 180k, but engineer maintained, so hopefully mechanicals should pass muster; minor mot advisories. Reportedly the rain gets in, resulting in damp musty interior. I find this surprising/disappointing - had assumed Skoda build quality would be A1. Are they known for letting in the rain, from any obvious ingress points? Appreciate your collective knowledge/wisdom. Regards.
  4. Cheers softscoop, Clearly I'll need to check details carefully. As a matter of interest, is there a forum member who has access to a database, which can check reg number for dpf?
  5. Thanks Sheriff.
  6. Thanks chaps, I guess then from 2004 onwards all 1.6's & 1.9's had DPF's? I was hoping they might have been DPF-free until 2008/9 when euro5 came in.
  7. Greetings one & all, I'm considering an older Octavia estate diesel. Could you please advise which engines/years did not have DPF fitted. Many thanks.
