DSG's appear immune from this issue but I wouldn't trust any manual gearbox 1.5tsi, it appears from the feedback on the forum it's such a random fault that it could take sometime to identify the problem.

Update, car has been back with the dealership, email tonight after investigating there's no fault found so they've offered that I can return the car and they will give me my px back, I've pointed out there's a sum of money involved too. Watch this space. Paul.

Yes, when I first contacted dealership it was within the 30 day period, I agreed to allow a diagnostic to try and find the fault but reserved the right to return should it not be found Paul.

Update, the Leader of the local dealership has been InTouch but out of office so I contacted the main dealership and had a fob off call. I now see no alternative but hand the car back under the 2015 sale of goods act as unsafe. Paul.

Yes, mine is exactly the same, I love the car, the drive is very good but the random issue is dangerous and guaranteed to catch you out at the wrong moment. As someone has already mentioned what will it take before VAG recognise the issue, dead customers don't buy another vehicle !

Update to previous post, I now have a leader of business at the dealership contact me after I threatened to hand the car back under the 30 day rule. Some interesting questions from VAG HQ wanting to know what warning lights appear etc. I have agreed to 1 more diagnostic before I give up and go Japanese. Paul.

Had my Kamiq Monte Carlo 1.5 TSI manual 3 weeks, when moving slowly (turning right across approaching traffic,) I've had it stop and leave me stranded across a junction with a wagon incoming. I'm in 1st gear slipping the clutch and after driving and riding motorbikes for 40+ years I've got lots of experience in how vehicle's behave and this is very odd. I've gone to the Skoda dealership literally 10 min after this incident occurred insisted on a diagnostic check to be told no errors seen. Now it's either me or a software issue iny opinion, the car has had a download from the factory and I will keep you posted.
