  1. A local guy did the towbar - his own business. All the locks work it's just the indicator flashes twice when using the boot open button on the key fob now. I'm certain it didn't before.
  2. I'm checking if this is correct following a towbar install. The indicators flash twice when using either the all doors open button or the boot open button. I'm sure, before the towbar fitting, the indicators didn't flash with the boot opening button - they did with all doors open button. And when opening the boot after unlocking it makes a noise - hard to describe but like an electrical / moving part hum. I don't recall hearing this before the towbar fitting.
  3. nta16, what would you recommend as an ideal tyre size instead, for the mk 3 fabia? And a question on my spare 175/70/R14 84T. If I have need to use it can I travel at normal speeds. Most spares now are spacesavers limited to 50mph. I'm guessing this size is not, but probably best to go slower due to the different tyre and rim size.
  4. All 4 have surface rust so I want to change them. What size bolt are they and is it something I can buy generally or do I have to go to Skoda?
  5. It's the original Dunlop Sport Maxx 215/45R16. Theres only 20K on the clock so plenty of tread but have been told I should get new due to their age, 4-5 years on a 69 plate. Think the tyre guy said they are 'tesalated' or something. I've got them at 31front 32rear (2.1/2.2 bar), not the higher eco pressures.
  6. Thanks for the info. I'll most likely stick with the current rims and tyre size given the advice.
  7. New to Skoda with a used Fabia 1.0 Estate SE L TSI 94bhp 5 speed. White with Grey interior cloth.
  8. Thanks Calston. It's a 94hp so the smaller front discs. I'm not sure what would be best but am thinking a wider tyre 185/60R15 to give a smoother ride. On the tyre search websites I see lots of size options so assume any would be ok to swap to
  9. I have 215/45R16 86H tyres, the original Dunlop Sport on 2019 Fabia Estate. I'm considering 185R15 or R16 to give a less firm ride. Is it a straight swap using the same wheels? And is there anything, pros, cons to a swap in size. The tyre pressure guide in fuel flap gives pressures for R14,15,16&17 so I assume my proposed swap is ok. Is it classed as a modification for car insurance? The spare is 175/70/R14 84T .
