  1. Cheers! Well I’m in VIC so last time it was $1.98 -ish
  2. I’ve been lurking around these forums for several years via internet searches, time to declare myself! So I’m now onto my 2nd “previously owned” Octavia 1Z TDI “Estate” as you call them (in Australia it’s a “station wagon”). Such a practical and fuel-efficient vehicle, I couldn’t stand the thought of shifting to some other vehicle after previous one became uneconomic to repair - clutch going, airbag sensor gone, plus other minor ailments then horrendous knocking from within the engine: lights out… Local mechanics charge a premium to work on European cars here and despite the increasing number of VWs and Skodas on the roads it’s hard to source after-market or reconditioned & parts from wreckers. There’s always the intake of breath between their teeth and dollar signs flash in their eyes when you tell ‘em it’s a Skoda… This is HiLux Heaven don’t you know? My first Škoda was a Roomster 1.9 TDI, best form-factor & efficiency ever for my needs, they never sold many in Oz coz they “looked weird”, it left with my Ex and a 2nd hand replacement was impossible to find due to scarcity…
