  3. Thanks for the replies everyone. It is definitely apporved used I've emailed the dealer and they confirmed. They said it also has not had the gearbox oil and filter changed. I will hopefully go and look at it Saturday, if I want it I'll insist they change the oil in it for me. Apart from the potential gearbox failure (and how much is the repair?), is there any other big problenms these cars pose?
  4. Hi everyone I'm new so please be kind lol. I need a new car for the mrs, have 15k budget, she does 10-12k miles per year. Needs to be auto, heated seats and full phone connectivity. I always look to what taxi drivers use for relaibility so that's bought me to a Skoda Octavia. I've found this one near to where I live in Telford, approved used. I really don't trust myself spending this much money on a second hand car as I don't know what I'm looking at, so approved used is my preffered choice. Are there any big expensive things that can go wrong with these, common failures and the like? Thanks in advance, here is the car. https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202402076330502?sort=price-asc&twcs=true&advertising-location=at_cars&exclude-writeoff-categories=on&ma=Y&make=Skoda&maximum-mileage=60000&minimum-badge-engine-size=2.0&model=Octavia&postcode=b90 4uf&price-from=10000&price-to=16000&transmission=Automatic&fromsra
