  1. Hi all, I know this topic was discussed here already but I really need help. I have an Octavia, petrol, 2010 automatic. 2 weeks ago while driving the D ( gear position) start flashing. Went straight to a mechanic ( but not specialist on automatic transmission) and put on tester. We got the error code P17bf hydraulic pump antiplay protection. Car driving nice and smooth with no issue. Been told is a transmission issue ( mechatronic failed) and cost to repair between 1000-1700 depending on the mechanic. Stopped driving the car to not getting worse. Call a home mechanic to get a more in depth diagnose . Same error alongside with an error for the ac and the temperature sensor. Check engine and pump for functionality and say everything works as it should so no reason for the error. Advise it might be DSG oil. Got the DSG oil drained and changed. Car still drives fine, no errors no issues except the flashing gear indicator even after changing the dsg oil. Error P17bf still there. Just after changing the gearbox oil, fir the first 3 times starting the car the check oil light came on ( but oil level fine when checked). After that, all good. Had to use car to go to work, car drives fine , no issues again, except the gear indicator flashing. Any idea what can be? If it is a failed mechatronic shouldn't be other worning lights? Shouldn't car have some symptoms? I don't have and don't want to spend a little fortune to change something that might not even sort the issue. Anyone has any idea? Thank you
  2. Just saying hello from Hertfordshire to all skoda lovers. My partner and I started our skoda journey 5 years ago with an Octavia 2010. We had a citigo for 2 years but had some issues we could never figure out ( not even the dealer could sort it out) and then we bought another Octavia 2017 diesel. Just saying hello from Hertfordshire to all skoda lovers!
