Hi, I am having same issue with Audi A6 2015. I was told to change The water pump. I bought parts and was about to spend £500 on water pump and timing belt kit. But then watched videos and read chat in forums. I came to conclusion that it is not the water pump and also found the receipt that it was done by previous owner not long ago. Then I thought may be thermostat but then read about thermostat that Issue will be with heating up/down engine temperature. I didn't change anything just changed my driving style. No more start stop. And no more short journeys. Once car is on run it ong enough. When dpf generation is on do not turn the engine off. Drive around until regeneration is done. Coolant leaks when you switch off before the regeneration completes. So far no more leaks. Finger crossed 🤞
