Thanks, yeah I'm aware they advise the narrow bars and it might be with reason but it would be great if I can reuse the bars and save some space.

Good day all, I've recently picked up a 2021 Octavia Estate 1.4iv. I have a set of Thule Wingbars that I used on my Fabia that are 127cm long, I have asked Thule about compatibility with these on the Octavia and they have said that they only advise to use the 118cm. The bars are slotted underneath for fitting different mounting kits, on my Fabia I am near the middle of this slot, I have a feeling they might have enough adjustment to allow me to fit to the Octavia. I'm wondering if anyone of you lovely people out there that have wingbars on an Octavia would be able to measure the distance inside the clamping brackets required? Then I can check and see if there would be enough adjustability ahead of buying the foot kit. I am aware that I will need to get a new mounting kits for the bars. Thanks for the help.
