Octavia iV Estate - flat 12v battery
Get a new 12v in there, should hopefully solve it. When mine was doing it it never gave a warning, would just die after the cleaning the car or something. When it was going it was like I couldn’t save it and it would always end up going dead then needing jumping. Mines been good for 6 months now and it’s a company car so done about 12k miles with no issues including weeks away without plugging in.

I agree, I don’t quite trust it yet. I’m not sure if the low power thing is a battery issue or not, it’s displayed it probably twice since. I’d rather just have a car with an alternator tbh not this bull**** hv trickle charge, don’t think that helps.

Octavia iV Estate - flat 12v battery
My issues were solved with a new 12v battery. All the error codes were coming up because of the faulty one including lighting error, charger not locking in, epb error, assist systems not working, climate control etc. I have it on a lease and actually started the process of exiting the contract, the garage finally tried changing the battery and it’s been pretty reliable for 6 months. They will try and avoid fixing it because they don’t want to do anything that will cost them money. Bizarrely the faulty battery actually passed Skodas test criteria as functioning correctly!!! I did manage to get it done on warranty in the end tho. I’ve had an error code once or twice since but clears on restart so I do think there are certain things we have to live with, the flat battery isn’t possible tho. I’m same as you on it really, love the car and Vrs series but wouldn’t go for another after all these issues or recommend to others.

Octavia iV Estate - flat 12v battery
Yes, had a new 12v battery and that seems to have solved it. It got to a point where it was happening weekly, I even had to think about how I was parking to make sure the bonnet was accessible for jumping so I took it to my local Skoda dealer and told them to hold onto it till its sorted. They had it for about a month and observed the 12v was ok one minute then the voltage suddenly would drop causing all the error codes, not possible to start and ending with the battery going dead. They finally decided to try a new 12v battery. Strangely the old one still passed Skodas performance test so the garage didnt want to do it under warranty, it became an argument between them and the lease company. In the end Skoda fleet services said they would cover it, it was £ 300 so was even tempted to pay it myself while they were messing around! I had to wait for 2 years to get the car after order so the garage suspected it was most likely parked up waiting for parts and the 12v battery was mismanaged meaning it was defective when I got it, could possibly be the same reason with a lot of them from this time. Skoda had terrible production issues due to covid, wiring harnesses from ukraine and I heard a fire at the Czech production plant! Anyway 6 months on and I have more confidence in the car again, I have had the low 12v battery warning a couple of times but I think that's fairly normal and it quickly disappears when running.

Octavia iV Estate - flat 12v battery
I have a 73 plate Octavia estate VRS iv PHEV and I have had the flat 12v battery problem twice now since I got the car in November 23. The first time it happened the car was completely lifeless until I jump started it and it sprung back into life. I took it to the local Skoda dealer and they did an investigation but unfortunately couldn't find any problem with it. I then didnt have the problem again for around 7 months until sunday just gone when I cleaned the car, did a couple of short runs on the HV battery and didnt fully charge it since the friday since it seemed needless when there is enough % remaining. I cleaned the car inside and out then went to lock it when I had finished, the 12V battery was completely dead again and the car lifeless. My brother came over the following monday so I could jump and, low and behold it sprung back into life, all of the assist systems displaying errors and then slowly resetting. Strangely the 12v battery didnt seem low at all or have any warnings, its as if it is blocked somehow and then jumping it springs it back into life. Very strange and worrying problem that this car has since its a work car and Im regularly doing long journeys, im even having to park it now strategically so the jump terminals are easily accessible. I'm going to inform the local Skoda dealer again but they seem clueless, nobody really seems to have much experience with these cars. Im also going to invest in a noco boost jump pack to keep in the car as back up, if it happens again i'm going disconnect the 12v battery terminal and see if this can bring it back to life when its restored. I randomly have had the low 12v battery warning on start up on and off although not recently, the last time was at least a month before the recent dead 12v problem and once restored i'm not getting the warning which is puzzling. I didnt spend any time charging it before using it again once it was jumped which seems strange, I don't understand how it can just suddenly have enough power again?
