  1. I would also hate to have you next door so feeling is mutual. I'm sure you have read that Skoda have finally recognised the is a design fault in writing but I'm sure they will be pleased you have put your opinion in writing as much as I am !!
  2. Already with DVSA
  3. I had an Octavia for 14 years and put 100,000 untroubled m8les on the clock and traded it in for this potential deathtrap, big mistake! Kamiq 1.5 Tsi SE. PS pleased you found it amusing, I don't!
  4. Sadly the dealership where I bought my car is tared with the same brush although allegedly they are the careing garage .😀 Skoda say its a safety feature then the next minute issue a warning in the handbook stating it could stop emergency services gaining entry . I even have it in writing that the locking system will not disengage on impact !! I will not give up even though they all hide behind the Motor Ombudsman as their opt out. Has anyone ever resolved it ?
  5. It's a Customer Relations Advisor at Milton Keynes. I will keep you all posted how things progress and how they resolve it .

  7. Yes I have it in writing and a dealership which Skoda recommended I should go to to get it resolved who failed also confirmed that Skoda stated its team where trying to resolve this issue. Dealership is Meadens of Brockenhurst. Yes ,Skoda Customer Services
  8. Did you manage to resolve this issue?
  9. Yes I have it in writing and a dealership which Skoda recommended I should go to to get it resolved who failed also confirmed that Skoda stated its team where trying to resolve this issue. Dealership is Meadens of Brockenhurst.
  10. I am aware of the padlock release but its annoying as reengages when you decrease speed and move off again continually I also understand its supposed to disengage in a collision but that's not what I am saying. This override was on earlier models but now dropped. But thanks for your reply. The dealer didn't bring it to our attention and until you take possession you wouldn't know .
  11. I purchased a new Kamiq and found straight away that the Automatic locking system didn't have an override on the computer as earlier models had . The doors automatically lock when car reaches 15klm per hour and has to be overriden manually if you fail to so it states in the handbook a warning that this will prevent emergency services gaining entry say if the driver collapse or fainted as has happened in several instances. This make this vehicle a potential deathtrap. Skoda have recognised this design fault and say the technical team are trying to resolve it .
