Hi everyone,
Was hoping for some help and advice around some issues our 2013 Citigo 5 door with start-stop has developed whilst being parked up for a few months.
Known Issues
- Front windscreen wipers won’t turn off
- Boot release button won’t work
- Locking will lock and unlock the doors multiple times when locking/unlocking using both the remote fob and the internal lock/unlock buttons - always ends up leaving the car unlocked.
- Locks in all doors will also constantly “click”, locking and unlocking as soon as you turn the ignition on
What I’ve tried so far
- Checked all fuses by the driver footwell, none blown
- Checked the fuses by the battery in the engine bay, none blown
- Replaced the battery
- Swapped the voltage regulator below the passenger seat with a replacement off eBay, made no difference
- I’ve borrowed a diagnostic tool from a friend and the car comes up with 10 fault codes:
1 fault under “Battery Regulation”
- 02071:012 - Local data bus - Electrical error in circuit
9 under “Electronic central electric”
- 01365:008 Lock/unlock switch/interior locking switch - Implausible signal
- 03297:008 - Driver lock cylinder contact switch - Implausible signal
- 00893:008 - Release button in rear lid handle - Implausible signal
- 00538:011 - Reference voltage - Open circuit
- 03022:012 - Local data bus 4 - Electrical error in circuit
- 03301:008 - Return message regarding driver door closing condition - Implausible signal
- 03302:008 - Return message regarding passenger door closing condition - Implausible signal
- 03303:008 - Return message regarding rear left door closing condition - Implausible signal
- 03304:008 - Return message regarding rear right door closing condition - Implausible signal
Other than the issues above, the car runs and drives fine, it’s done 74k miles.
I’ve read about the indicator/wiper stalks accumulating dust/grease causing an issue so my next step will be to remove & clean or replace the stalks.
Unsure what the central locking issues could be, maybe a single module of some kind (hopefully), or a bad ground/bad wiring?
Would greatly appreciate any help or advice from someone who knows what they’re doing or had similar issues?
Thanks in advance!
