  1. Hi all, Hopefully looking for some advice about some odd aircon issues I'm having. I bought the car in December last year on a freezing cold day so wasn't able to properly check if the aircon was working, although the light on the climate console did turn on and off at the time. I randomly spotted a couple of months ago that the aircon light would not light up on the climate console. I did some manual reset button presses and this re-enabled the light on the console, but now the weather has got warmer it is clear that the air con is not working. I had the gas checked and it is full. I had it looked at by one garage and they got a few error codes... U101300 - Control module not coded B109EF0 - A/C compressor initial break-in not performed B10E815 - Sunlight photo sensor open or short circuit to B+ This first garage cleared a load of error codes and the compressor initial break-in code seems to have now disappeared so I'm discounting that. This first garage didn't want to touch it any further so I took it to an electrics specialist. They have confirmed that all individual parts are working (compressor, clutch, valves etc) but that the clutch is for some reason not receiving a signal to engage. They haven't replaced the sunlight sensor but I don't believe this would be the root cause. This is as far as we've got (interesting side note - drawings for this model show the sunlight sensor as being in the dash but it's actually up near the rear view mirror, so initially they were confused as to why the sunlight sensor was apparently completely missing!). His opinion was that he'd usually ignore the U code, and he says that the module appears, from what he can see, to be coded with the correct chassis number so it would be really odd if this had somehow been replaced and coded with the right chassis number but not any other required coding. I also have the vehicle service history and there is no mention of any work being carried out on the climate system. I have two theories... 1 - There is a loose or corroded connection somewhere that, once traced, will be an easy fix. 2 - The U101300 code is actually the issue somehow, and the climate control module needs replacing/re-coding. Number 1 could be expensive to trace all the wiring and potentially still not find the fault, so I don't want to spend loads on labour if this is unlikely to be successful. Number 2 is probably going to be really expensive and I'd only want to go down this route if I was sure it would fix the issue. Probably a dealer job and all my local Skoda dealers have a 2 month wait list to get it booked in. Help!! Any advice greatly appreciated. Cheers, James.
