No problem mate, I've just received an OBD11 today in the post. It's saying the sound borne noise is 100% but I genuinely can't hear any difference between eco, normal and sport mode if I'm supposed too?

Hi Mate, My OBD11 turned up today, great bit of kit, didn't realise you could have referred me and got some free stuff. I have just been trying to figure it all out and the OBD11 app seemed limited, I couldn't see any values etc until I installed the OBD11 VAG application instead. It's saying the sound borne noise is 100%. I genuinely cant hear any difference between eco, normal and sport mode to the internal sound output. I also can't seem to find any one click app sections on either application at all.

Thanks again mate appreciate the help. Do you have any recommendations for OBD2 devices preferably nothing too expensive that will do the job? and a credit based app for pay as you go coding? I'm not clued up on using these but it won't take me long to learn I'm quite tech savvy. Thanks again 👍

Thanks for reply mate. Would that completely remove the engine sound option from the settings/system if this was performed? I did update the MIB1 unit myself recently, maybe that's deleted the settings?

Thanks for the reply mate. I've just lifted the section under the windscreen without removing the wiper blades and had a look to see if one is there. I admit I have no idea what one looks like but someone said it's similar to a hockey puck shape. There is a small circular black hockey puck shaped object in the location where the actuator would be with loads of holes in it. Would this be the sound actuator? It was a bit dark to take a photo under there without removing wiper blades. Edit: I definitely have a sound actuator looking at the official part for the 5E MK3 Octavia but I have no options for engine sound, the sport/normal mode makes no difference to the sound at all. It is still plugged in too so the previous owner hasn't unplugged it.

Hi, Does the VRs MK3 TDI 2015 have the sound actuator on the VRs mode selector? I appear to be missing the engine sound option. Thanks.

Hi, Recently had my Octavia 3 vRS TDI 184 remapped with the DPF/EGR turned off. I've had the DPF section gutted and left attached to the vehicle. The EGR has been tuned to stay shut and has only been unplugged, no blanking plate fitted as I can't seem to find the correct size plate for this vehicle, if one is even required? Has the EGR correctly been deleted with the ECU tune and unplugging it or do I require a blanking plate or full delete kit etc? Thanks.

Hi, Picked up a MK3 15 plate VRS 2.0 TDI after my MK2 VRS TDI was stolen last month and written off. Messaged my usual remap guy and he's told me there is a Stage 1 and Stage 1+ remap available. Stage 1 remap Will add 40bhp making 221bhp + 70nm torque. Stage 1 plus adds 55bhp making 236bhp + 90nm torque. I will be doing a DPF/EGR delete also before getting it mapped. With the DPF I will most likely get it gutted/smashed out inside and refitted instead of a straight piped. Which of the 2 maps is the better choice for the engine and it's turbo? They are both the same price. Thanks.
