  1. Yes I know the car will be delayed but I get a later plate at the agreed price. Moaning to the dealer or Skoda will not change anything. It’s annoying but there’s nothing I can do, it was the car my wife and I chose last Oct when we ordered it and nothing has changed. Buying a new car for me is exciting and not something I do everyday so I live with the delay and look forward to when it arrives.
  2. I’ve been waiting to my new Karoq sport line since October 2023.
  3. Have now been in contact with Skoda Customer services who tell me that they experienced a chip shortage in March 24 to May 24. They received some in June and expected to recommence production which they did but then had a factory shutdown in July 24, reason not told. These were the reasons why my car has been so delayed.
  4. Thanks for the welcome. Didn’t think my order was anything out of the ordinary. Velvet red with travel assist plus pack, winter plus pack plus spare wheel. Originally told it would be end of May and then received email saying it had been delayed to August. Dealer says it’s to do with a chip shortage. Personally I think it’s to do with the percentage of electric cars a maker has to sell in relation to petrol and diesel cars plus this speed limiter that has to be on all new cars from 7 July.
  5. Hello I already own a 2020 Skoda Fabia montecarlo from new. i am retired and I love cars. Best car owned recently was Audi RS3 but have now sold it. Last October ordered a Karoq sport line dsg with some extras. As of today I am still waiting for it, latest date is early September. Thanks for having me.
