  1. I am looking to replace the original cracked LED units. One of the DRLs has now failed due to the moisture ingress. I assume this is due to a short in the light itself rather than in the power control module. I have had a quote of £800+ per unit for brand new parts + labour from Skoda. Ouch! The part numbers of the original cracked units are (57C941015B and 57C941016B) and the latest parts are (57C941015D and 57C941016D). There are various used items available on eBay which come with the power control module attached. Most of these have at least one broken/repaired/missing mounting bracket but are significantly cheaper than the new parts (150-250 quid each). My question is, would these simply be a plug and play replacement given that they are coming off identical cars? One assumes that the correct coding configuration would already be applied to the Power control modules and therefore wouldn't require any specialist configuration tools etc. Worst case, I guess I could just use the PCM from my cracked lights and fit to the replacement ones? Any thoughts gratefully received.
  2. I know this thread is a couple of years old now but this has happened to my 2018 Karoq and I'm wondering how this was resolved in the end? Was it established to be a manufacturing defect? My daylight running light on the left side has just failed due to build up of moisture and my lights have the cracking down the outer edge on both sides of the car. I'm curious if you had the Lifeshine product applied when the car was new and whether this might have reacted with the coating on the plastic headlights to caused them to perish and crack? Thanks
