  1. I'm determined to fix it. But I don't have any MCU specialist near me at all. I'm Lincoln based
  2. There is several threads that match my issue but very few post if or how they solved it.
  3. They told me they have seen the same issue on a DQ200 before that I have. And that they replaced the MCU, TCU and it still faulted the guy was a taxi driver so sold the car and they never got to the bottom of it. Which why they haven't wanted to do anything till I have researched or found out if anyone has solved it before.
  4. @Ootohere I was told this by a Automatic Gearbox specialist that i took it too for diagnosis. They had the car for 4 days after the other garage had carried out the work. Couldn't get it to fault. Then it faulted since I have been using the car several times but I'm 2hrs away from the specialist so I have to clear the error to take the car too them, to be able to drive safely.
  5. @Ootohere I was told a check for Accumulator is to start the car and instantly try to select drive and if the pressure has leaked or Accumulator is failing it won't allow you to select drive until it's has pressure. I can instantly select drive and pull off.
  6. @Gammyleg Yeah I will contact the garage that did the gearbox work and see what they say I know they changed the oil in the box but don't see a filter on my receipt. Does the gearset share oil with the mechatronic? My knowledge of the DQ200 is very poor.
  7. I fear it maybe is the mechatronic but if its that how come the car drives fine with no issues for 100s of miles then gives up for a day. I will look into wether it's been updated. It just not a good box it's very low budget and slow to react.
  8. Yeah that's the one. The one I shouldn't of bought🙄
  9. For the past few months I have been trying to get a Gearbox fault diagnosed and fixed on my 63Reg skoda octavia. It's very intermittent i can go 1000 miles with no issue then it comes back. When I start the car some mornings I get Gearbox fault(P283C). I have also had the same fault while driving on the motorway. It varies what gears I have once the fault appears. If it faults while driving I have 2, 4, 6 and R. But if It faults on startup I only have 2nd. I have had the Gearbox stripped and rebuillt with new bearing and clutch pack. And it worked for about 2.5 weeks before the problem resurfaced. I have taken it back and they plug diagnostics in clear faults, run a auto Gearbox check and it works. Then gradually over a few weeks the shifts get clunky then the fault returns. I have also had new battery fitted to no avail. I have seen other forum posts with very similar cases but no resolution or fix posted on the posts.
