Hi,
I'm new here but am hopefully buying a late 2019 Scala SE-L on Saturday. I haven't yet seen it in the flesh or had a test drive.
I've read numerous posts elsewhere on this forum regarding the SOS errors and bricking the infotainment systems. Is there any way, without having my own diagnostic machine, to check if the car suffers from this issue when I take it out? Should I be checking the software version? I think it's unlikely it will occur on the short test drive around the garage.
If it does turn up down the line, what is the ballpark cost to have it fixed by Skoda out of warranty (either software update or OCU replacement). I'm looking at the garage's warranty options, but I know these warranty providers will always try to get out of work done at the main dealer.
Thanks in advance.
