  1. But would a voltage supply problem be intermittent?
  2. I don't have a long crank time. When the car does want to the start, the crank is normal (a few seconds if that) but otherwise it will just keep cranking forever. 1) It was last serviced 5,000 kms ago and I'm servicing it within the next week. 2) I know it is charging because I have a battery monitor hooked up and can see a voltage reading at all times. 3) I'm not getting any crank/cam sensor error codes. I have two error codes but I can't confirm they relate to the issue. I have cleared them and will test again. 4) This has been happening for a while and I've used different fuel (always RON 98) 15244 - Supply Voltage 1 for Engine Actuators P0658 00 [096] - Too Low 15240 - ECM Power Relay Control Circuit P0687 00 [032] - Short to Plus 20654 - Oxygen (Lambda) Sensor B1 S1: Negative Lead P2251 00 [096] - Open Circuit 15237 - System Voltage P0562 00 [032] - Too Low That's what I was thinking but I was wondering if anyone else has had this issue before as I can't see much people replacing starter motors. The car has about 210,000 kms.
  3. Hi all, I occasionally have an issue with starting my car after a period (generally 10+ hours) of the car not running. It doesn't necessarily happen in the morning as sometimes it happens in the afternoon as well. It's got a brand new stop-start battery (stop start has been disabled via VCDS though) that is the correct one for the car. The voltage of the battery is fine as I monitor it. Even if I hook-up a portable jump starter, it still won't start and will keep clicking over. There is a noise that comes from the engine bay which is always an indication that the car will start once I hear this noise. The noise is generally triggered by me unlocking the car however it doesn't always trigger it when I unlock the car. What is this noise coming from as I need to fix this ASAP. Some mornings it could take up to 15 minutes for it to turn on and sometimes it will start right away. I have attached a video of the noise in question. IMG_0.MOV
