  1. Digging the old thread. Background: I bought an used Fabia Mk1 2003 make in Germany (LHD) few months ago and it was running fine until few weeks back. From the time I bough the car, the steering was little bit hard but not too hard (it is easy to steering when car is running and when car is at standstill or at slow speed one has put extra effort to turn the steering. I assumed that this is normal for cars with hydraulic steering since this is the first time I am driving the car with hydraulic steering. Issue: Few weeks back, one day when I started the car on a morning and I got the steering wheel faul indicator on dash and from then onwards there is no assistance. I managed the short run by applying extra effort to steer the car. I have OBD11 so did a scan and it showed "00566 - Implausible error". I refer to this forum and did the following checks: Battery voltage while idle ~14V Battery voltage with more load (rear window heater, A/C, high beam): ~13.8V Measured voltage at both ends of fuses on the top the battery: all ok Checked fuses in the dash fuse box: all ok Then took it to a workshop. The mechanic also checked the error code and the dash fuses and found out one of the dash fuse is gone (not sure how I missed this out). He replaced the fuse and error is gone and PAS was working properly. Then after few days of driving, the steering fault light up again in dash on a parking lot. Today took it the same workshop. The mechanic checked the fuse and said everything is ok and next step to replace the steering angle sensor and the see whether the error is resolved. But when I checked with OBD11 last time, the steering angle sensor responded while turning the steering so I was skeptical whether sensor would be faulty. Took the car back to home and scanned again using OBD11 and got the error codes as shown in the attached images. Basically it is the same 00566 code with additional ECM codes which are intermittent (may be the mechanic has misplaced the fuses while checking - I have to check the fusebox again). Please guide me on how to proceed next.
