  1. It would be but we don’t always remember to that’s the problem.
  2. Hiya can anyone help me I have a 2024 Kamiq on mobility scheme and are not allowed to permanently hard wire a dash cam into the car. Skoda are not allowed to do it for us either. It’s the mobility schemes rules. So my dash cam is plugged into the front cigarette lighter socket which is permanently live. I have had problems when we have forgotten to unplug the dash cam and not used the car for a couple of days and it’s drained the car battery. On some of the older cars I’ve owned you could choose to have the cigarette lighter permanently live or not by moving the fuse to a different space in the fuse box. My question is can this be done on my car. Or is there any type of adaptor that can be plugged into between the cigarette lighter and the dash cam that will turn the cam off when the car is not running. Kind regards Richard
  3. But it’s a brand new car I am not sure about doing that.
  4. It’s smooth to the bite point and then feels like you have just lifted your foot right off the clutch to fast. It’s the same when changing gears it feels like you are trying to change gear to fast. It’s like when you were first learning to drive. I have 40 years of driving. And have held a psv and hgv class 1 license and driven lots of different vehicles. But not come across this problem before. My wife as also been driving for nearly 40 years. Everyone who has driven our car can’t get a smooth change every time.
  5. The bite point is normal our car is the 1.0 TSI SE 5dr 6 speed from moving of from 1st to second can be extremely difficult at times without it snatching. Sometimes it makes for a very uncomfortable ride for the passengers as it feels like your head is being snapped back and forth.
  6. Hi all we have had our 2024 kamiq for around six weeks. We have covered 900 miles. But ever since we picked the car up no matter who drives the car we can not always get a smooth change. Sometimes it snatches as though the clutch sticks for a moment and then releases. we had to have the rac out the other day because the car battery failed. Yes a car that’s only just over 1 month old and the battery failed. I ask the rac man to test drive the car and get his opinion on the clutch. He agreed it’s not easy to get a smooth change and it’s very jerky. But he said if we were to take it back to Škoda they would find nothing wrong with it. Or say there is nothing wrong with it. And it might settle down once it’s run in and everything as worn slightly. The problem as got slightly better since we brought the car. So is it a matter of wait and see if it does settle down and stop doing this or should we be going to Škoda and asking them to look at it. Regards Richard.
