DSG Woes
Update this morning, after a week of the car not going into limp mode it finally did, so I have some codes again they are only P073a- implausible signal P137c-?? I'll have to search online to find out what p137a is, but it looks like that Philthegeek might be onto something

I'll have a look for the label, though checking on the Skoda vin checker it shows it's had 1 recall for a look issue and that's it, I have yet to call Skoda and find out if mine is due for the other recall/service campaign, the other 2 codes you mentioned, could they be triggered by my dashboard cluster being taken out( led repairs) and the battery being run flat at one time? I've cleared the codes and none of the codes have come back, however, the car still likes to jump out of 5th and free rev in auto from time to time, in manual it hasn't done this yet . I might have to get the mechatronics clutch tool and check those selector forks, may as well replace the gaskets that are weeping while I'm in there

Oh I should probably mention that the bollom of the gearbox is a little wet so looks like the mechatronics pan seal might be leaking a tad, and is probably why it was low, but it's not actively dripping I'll be looking to get a new pan gasket, but want to make sure I get to the root of any other issues before throwing money at it if potentially I just need to replace the mechatronics

I drained and refilled the mechatronics unit itself, through the drain plug closest to the radiator, and refilled it though the fill hole under the starter motor, with the VW specific g004000m2 fluid, I'll have to call Skoda to see if it's been through any recalls, I've only had the car for 2 months Otherwise the only info on the date of manufacture is 2012, not sure where to check what month

DSG Woes
Hey All, New to Skoda Fabia's having just recently purchased a 2012 Fabia 1.2tsi with the 7sp dsg, alls been well with the nugget up until friday past where I pulled out my driveway got about 200 meters away from home then after a stop the thing seemed to have lost 3rd then scrambled to try find a gear before going into limp mode, flashing a spanner on the screen. I did some research online and decided it may be wise to check the Mechatronics fluid levels and it was low, at 850mls , so I replaced the fluid for the full 1 liter, and the car seemed fine afterwards, up until this afternoon where the problem came back on the way back from work, again, only about 200 meters away from where I was, I was able to pull into a petrol station and switch the car off for a while and try again where it had no problems again getting home. Now I have managed to use VCDS to get code's off the TCU ( luckily ) and I'm getting the following codes though they are not all that descriptive and I'm getting some mixed results on the codes interpretations: p173c p073a p1862 p177f p072b These are all being listed as intermittent on the scanner. when the car behaves it seems to drive perfectly with no slippage or shuddering Ive seen some guys say that the accumulator can cause one of these faults, but they are usually accompanied with other faults it seems?? Anyone got any suggestions??
