  1. I haven't been on this site for a while but thought I'd give an update. I managed to pry the two pieces directly behind the mirror apart. The trick was to pry the left hand side first. I used a Dremel to make a groove for the cable to sit. A pillar trim came off easy so was able to neatly pin it away from the airbag. Overall I'm happy with the way it sits and barely notice it behind the mirror.
  2. Thought I would update this as I've managed to find a dongle that works for me. It was a CarlinKit Mini5 Pro purchased for $12USD from AliExpress. It is rated for: Power Input: 5V±0.2V = 1.0A Power Output: 5V±0.2V = 1.0A
  3. Could be the same issue I had on my Octavia where the USB port wasn't providing enough power and the dongle would reboot everytime you went to connect. I was provided a workaround by the seller on AliExpress which was to use a secondary cable connected to the cigarette lighter. I didn't try this as the whole point of going wireless was to reduce cable clutter and this would add more. You could possibly hide this all away behind the dash but it seemed like more effort as I'd have to get a hub for the existing port to split it off etc.
  4. Thanks. I'll suck it up and give it another go.
  5. How did you manage to remove the housing? Closest instructions I've been able to find were for a Superb which said to part apart the housing around where the mirror swivels. I tried but couldn't get it to separate without fear of breaking.
  6. Thanks for the tips. Hopefully I can give it a try on the weekend.
  7. Hi, did you manage to figure this out? I'm in the same situation wanting to clean the AC by feeding the cleaning tube up the drain pipe. From a video on YouTube for a mk7 golf, I believe the drain pipe is located under the foot rest (right hand drive car). When I have some free time I'll take a look on my mk3 RS245.

Hi all, I just picked up a 2018 Octavia RS245. Online searches keep bringing me here for answers. It baffles me how the label inside the fuel flap has tyre pressures listed for 17" and 18" rims but not the standard 19" rims the car came with. Anyway, thanks to everyone that contributes to this forum. Looking forward to working on this car. Wokka
