  1. It all started with... I got a phone call... A mechanic friend of mine knowing that I have a big heart for even bigger projects and that if it's weird he would know to give me a call.. I got a phone call :-) Cutting to the chase.. 1975, Skoda S110 LS, with only 1407 miles from new, been in the driest of dry storage for most of it's four decades on the planet.. As a blessing the car has been heavily undersealed and waxed from new. Everything is solid solid as if the car was new and I have just took the carpets out for a clean and the floorpan is like new, the original stickers are still inside the bootlid and everything as is how it would have been in a Skoda showroom back in 1975... Currently still rolling on the original... well.. everything!! Tyres (still holding pressure and they look like new) and everything else is as is, totally untouched.. I will let the pictures do the talking...This is perhaps the most original car I have had the privilege of owning..
  2. Hi, I am looking for an indicator switch for a Skoda S110 LS.. I think that it will be the same switch for any of the S100 series of cars.. Anyone point me in the right direction for one please? Thanks Steve
  3. I have bought a Skoda Yeti that has had some "off road" adventures and I need a fair amount of parts to get it back to fine fettle.. It's at first pass looking like £2500 + worth of parts that are required :-) Can anyone reccommend any good OEM parts suppliers or does anyone work for a dealers that could give good discount because of the spend? I have been in touch with two of my local dealers and I sent a mail to SkodaParts.com but I am awaiting a response.. Thanks in advance if you can help.. Cheers
  4. Thanks all for your replies... Java, I have just sent you a PM so ignore it :-) I can only think that the estate has a different suspension set up at the back hence why you are clearing and I am not.. Here is what I am aiming for...
  5. I am willing to bet my money on the crankshaft position sensor!
  6. Hi everyone, long time lurker and one of the first posts that I am putting up.. and it's a problem :-) Hopefully not a big one.. I was sort of inbetween cars, had a Golf R32, sold that and bought a Golf R.. I moved location with my job and ended up doing silly miles.. Sold the Golf R and I found myself at the auctions with the remit to get a cheapo TDI VW saloon or estate... I ended up buying a 54 plate Octavia Ambiente Saloon 1.9 TDI / DSG.. It's cheap to run and it goes ok so it ticked the boxes.. So far it's been good although it's still on the standard wheels and wheel trims... YUK!! I had a set of 19" BBS Speedline (Audi) wheels in the garage.. They are 9"x19" and ET41.. Thing is they fit fine on the front of the car but on the rear they are hitting what looks like the plastic cover of the shock absorber on the rear.. I know I need spacers but I was wondering if anyone had any idea what type? What thickness and where is the best place to get them from? The next thing will have to be a set of coilovers!! Cheers Steve
