  1. I recently bought a space saver spare wheel for our newly acquired 2019 SEL Karoq and am now looking for a genuine Skoda jack. Ive seen some advertised on Ebay with part number 5Q0011031E but the official Skoda part for the Karoq currently is 5Q0011031G (ie a G on the end, not an E). Are these compatible, or will I need the latter (G) variant? According to the labels on the photos Ive seen, it says the jack is compatible with The E variant is suitable for Octavia and Rapid, as well as Volkswagen Golf, Jetta , T-Roc and SEAT Leon and Toledo. I haven't found a photo of one which has Karoq on the label. I just want to make sure its the correct fit and it goes high enough for a Karoq wheel change. Thanks in advance.
  2. I think the 145 width means the 145/80/r18 wonโ€™t fit under the boot floor and raise the boot carpet slightly . From other posts though it looks like the standard 125 tyre available is about 6% smaller than the wheels on my car. Given that the 125 is provided by skoda when buying the full kit, and that itโ€™s only ever going to be on the car for a few miles, if at all, on balance I think Iโ€™m going to go with the 125/70/r18. Thanks for all the advice though. Who knew this subject was so complicated ๐Ÿ˜€
  3. Thinking about it, I'm not sure if the 145/80/R18 would fit in the wheel well, without lifting the boot floor slightly, making the boot floor uneven. However, I've read on another thread (or maybe this one) that the "standard" 125/70R18 space saver may not be a great match (6% smaller than the wheels on the car). Outside diameter of standard Karoq tyre sizes compared to 125/70R18 space saver 125/70R18 632.2mm 215/60R16 664.4mm (5.1% bigger than 125/70R18 space saver) 215/55R17 668.3mm (5.7% bigger than 125/70R18 space saver) 215/50R18 672.2mm (6.3% bigger than 125/70R18 space saver) Outside diameter of standard Karoq tyre sizes compared to 135/80R18 space saver 135/80R18 673.2mm 215/60R16 664.4mm (1.3% smaller than 135/80R18 space saver) 215/55R17 668.3mm (0.7% smaller than 135/80R18 space saver) 215/50R18 672.2mm (0.1% smaller than 135/80R18 space saver) Has anybody fitted a space saver bigger than 125mm thick (wide)? Does this lift the floor? Cheers,
  4. Resurrecting this great thread! First post here... We have just got a used Karoq SEL DSG (2019) and I'm looking at spare wheel options - probably a space saver to avoid using up boot space. Can anyone confirm if a 145/80/R18 spare would do the job? Current wheels on the car are standard Braga wheels - 215/50/R18s. I will need to check of the stud patten is the same - 5/112 is what I think I need? Is there anything I need to check - as long as the stud pattern and diameter is as similar as possible to the wheels on the car, all should be ok?
