  1. Well an update, it beat me and I bought a second hand HVAC head unit, got the run in procedure done and now the light no longer blinks at me however, I now have it telling me that the Engine Management Computer is keeping it shut off. The frustrating part is when I run the output test in VCDS it blows cold air.
  2. I tried doing it again but to no avail, that light just keeps blinking at me, slowly driving me mad it's become my tell tale heart!
  3. Hello good people, I have a 2010 Skoda Ocatavia Wagon 1.9 Tdi (BXE) and am having some hvac/air con issues. I had a play with some settings in VCDS and seem to have gotten the system into learning mode as indicated by the flashing AC light in the car, the issue is it won't come out of "learning mode" no matter what I try, so far I've disconnected the battery, removed the fuse but it continues to flash. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.
  4. Thanks, The problems have been the buttons on the steering wheel for the trip computer, and cruise control not working, the horn does and the whippers, amongst other things, give an error code all pointing to Clock spring not being coded or so my research would have me believe. Looks like I'll be visiting the Rosstech site and buying VCDS the local Skoda dealer quoted $180/hr and at least 2 hours without the guarantee that they'd be able to do it!
  5. Hi All, I have recently purchased a 2010 Skoda Octavia 1.9TDi and didn't know when I bought it that the clockspring had been replaced and not coded to the car. So my issue is I don't have the old part to get the code from, is there a list of generic codes that I can use to get it done and all buttons working? I'd prefer not to go to the dealer if I can help it, my local dealer is way to expensive, an example was on my '07 Octavia I needed a new switch on the gearbox to turn the reversing lights on they quoted $600 for the part alone!
