  1. £140 a year. Better to go buy a V2 for £185 I think.
  2. So i have a VCDS Hex Ive used for years, but it wont work on a post 2019 car and i have to upgrade to a V2. VCDS is silly money. Is there anything else thats cheaper and just as good? Or nearly as good such as brake service mode and DTCs? OBD11?
  3. Long time Skoda owner (well I dont currently but last was a Octy mk2.5 TDI 1.9) So I now do 160 mile trip twice a week for work with a few miles in-between so say 20k a year, perfect for even a modern TDI with a horrid DPF! This route is actually 40-60mph limits cross country (I live in South Wales) rather than motorway stuff and I dont tend to drive fast as MPG is cheap running is primary concern and I have other "fun cars". I want an estate full stop! So Im 6foot4 and do have a poor back so seats are important to me (Tho some of you might suggest I change the seats to something else (which Ive done in the past on cars). Ive ran a Polo 1.4TDI and loved it, Ive ran a fabia 1.9 and loved it. What would you buy now with a max budget of £10k and would like to keep for say 3 years? I can spanner ok so brakes, suspension no problem, tho probably dont fancy doing a clutch or cambelt and pump. Whats cheap to run and reliable and what would you buy? Engine and Model make much difference in fuel or maintenance running costs? Get a low spec and change seats? Buy a £2k car and run it? Spend more? What would you look at? Cheers
