  1. Hey Skoda community. My 2015 Octavia RS has a dim LED strip on the right side headlight fitting. This is only cosmetic, obviously, so isn't worth the $2300 I've been quoted for a replacement light assembly (I wouldn't have thought I would have needed to replace the whole thing). I thought LED lights were supposed to last longer than other bulbs, but I have never had to replace a bulb on this car. I also saw in a forum discussion, somebody talking about LED strips dimming with other lights, but it sounded like this was intentional/controllable. Is my dim LED an easy fix? Am I being given the run-around by the workshop? Someone also suggested I spray electrical spray lube on the contacts, and this might help. Any suggestions? It's really not worth $2300 for a new assembly, but it looks a little dumb.
