  1. Thanks. Checked motor inside and its like new. I cant see anything obvious anywhere so I will do some end to end testing. on the plus side I fixed a window issue by removing and cleaning the outer trim seal. OMG absolutely caked in gunk, window must have been virtually sticking to it. I will leave chain alone. Just done belt on my diesel and that was so much effort but gotta be spot on with interference engines! Albeit keeping oil regular and fresh is not one of my strengths, but thats a whole other story involving a pos mini!
  2. Oh sorry. I just found breezy petes guide to checking door loom so I will do that first!
  3. Hi I have read a lot on here about fixing issues and its been so helpful. For some reason esp. BreezyPete's advice. have been systematically replacing parts on an honest but tired Fab bought for my kids and its going well. BUT I dont have remote fitted just key. replaced door locks due to microswitches. Left front now works perfectly, flashes indicators, courtesy light, window trick works both ways. Right front intermittently opens/locks all but often just itself, no indicator flash, no courtesy light, window trick doesn't work. I check door loom at a pillar and AFAIK there are 2 wires with broken insulation but still connected But otherwise OK, when I reconnected there was some CL activity as connection made. Do you think there must be loom damage inside the door, or CCU, or what else? Thanks very much. As an aside. Its the 1.2 HTP at 109k. Should I do timing chain as precaution or is it reliable?
