Yes, on trade plates, not registered. Looks like I'm fighting a losing battle with this one. It lookeed like a sleeker version of the Scala, which I may end up having a look at. I believe there's a new model of it, but I've not seen one yet.

Still no info-pack on the Slavia (not the Scala) I liked, but in the meantime, I was hunting around the various insurance brokers, looking for a quote. NONE of them recognised the car, so nobody - including Skoda's own - will insure it! Someone said perhaps it isn't in this country (UK) but I replied sayng there's one in the showroom, and I had a test drive in one!

As I don't have the car, I cannot quote the VIN number or reggie number - (It hasn'tbeen registered yet, anyway!) You've lost me with ACT, what's that? I did put manual gears. I last bought a car 15 years ago, and the only electronics in it were central/remote door locks, a radio, and lights! I'll have a look at Dan@ Adrian Flux in a little while, when I've woken up properly!

@OOTOHERE and @Gerrycan - The Slavia is here in the UK, I've driven one for a test drive, and there was another brand new in the Skoda showroom here in Warrington. No response so far. BUT I've met another snag with buying this new Slavia. I was hunting around all the insurance brokers, etc, trying to get a quote - but nobody has it listed, so cannot give me even an estimate. That includes Skoda's own insurance! I'm waiting for customer services to get back to me on that!

Ah! Got it, thanks. I was looking for a button/switch that was labelled models (or variants of). Now I have the list, the Slavia isn't listed (yet!)

Had the same problem with Lightcliffe, the local dealer. I went into the showroom, had a wander, found a car I liked, booked a test drive, did that, and the chap I was dealing with said he'd send me an info-pack through the post. Nothing happened. About a week later, he left a message on my answering machine to see if I was still interested. As it was 8pm, I called back next day, to be told he wasn't in, but I could leave a message, and he'd call me back. Another week has gone by, and no call - no info-pack.

I have! Still findng my way around the site, but I can't see where the model listings are.
