  1. Hello, This is my first Skoda forum, ive had my skoda rapid 2013 spaceback for 4 years now, and she has served me well 😅, recently the window regulator cable snapped, so I rang my dad and asked for help since hes been teaching in Automotive engineering most of his life. So we brought a new window regulator and motor, (i was taught to tinker with thinks, so me thinking i was being smart too apart the motor and therefore broke it, not realising what was inside). After installing the new regulator and motor all seemed well and working well, put the door back together, tested it, still worked, went out to lunch, came back, stopped working. Took apart again, put together again, and just as i put the door handle plastic cover back on the handle, stopped working, this happened about 8 times, us seeing what different points triggered the door motor to stop, we first thought the screws for the door panel via the handle, but that didnt actually touch anything the other side, so couldnt be that? Nothing was blocking the window from fully moving up and down, nothing was in the way of the motor, and nothing was stopping the inside motor connection cog as far as we could tell/reach, it seemed to be we took apart the door, unplugged the motor, unplugged the window switch, put together and it worked again like magic. Currently my window will not work again, has anyone had this before? (Also its not the fuses)
