Hi just joined, i have a 2011 4x4 2lt tdi auto, however the dreded electronics as in all modern cars are playing up, part of the reason i stay clear of cars post 2010 , but i do love my yeti and havent quite gave up on it yet. first problem is as most owners know when it comes to electronics most if not all garages cant fix them, even though they say they can. My question is can i bypass the egr (brain) my old morris miner ran great whithout a (brain) now my yeti does this (key not reconized) and wont start, I tried changing the brain, key barrel etc but then it just locked me out, It statrts sometimes but theres nothing worse when youve gone 10 miles down the road and it decides its not gonna reconize the key, surly there most be a way of ripping all this crap out and wireing the key straight to ignition, has any body on here done that?
