  1. Ok, had enough for tonight. It's improved somewhat as I managed to wrestle the lower bit of trim forward... put some WD in there and a ittle Singer light oil. Plus re-applied polish to webbing (this time Excel polish). But movement of the last foot of belt is still very Leisurely (but it does make it all the way back 9/10 times). Nothing seems to be snagging on anything.... Is it possible that the WD/lube treatment takes a while to soak in? Or should it work from the get go? It seemed so easy last time!

  3. Hi, Passenger seatbelt will not retract more than a few inches. Have followed guides on Briskoda and even had success with driver side belt on my Fabia 1.4 16v (04 plate) which would not retract. But now things have gone from bad to worse! Under pressure to get fixed as MOT retest is on Wed 23/10/24. Have tried the pledge trick (made almost no difference). Have taken trim panels out to access seat belt retractor plus done the lube job as suggested. Now it hardly moves. Any helpful tips of what I can check would be very much appreciated. (New account but not new here, just can't recover my old one of 10 + years) Jules.
