After finding coolant temperature sensor error fromVag-Com only, I have changed the sensor. I haven't found any sort of performance degradation before changing the sensor too. The car is not obtaining the proper temp 90. It stuck between 80 and 90 only. Is there any method to detect thermostat is stuck open?

When I idle the car for more than 20 minutes, the guage didn't move more than 80. I will change the Themostat during next service schedule. I hope this problem will not harm the engine. Please clarify.

It is a genuine one from VW. Rightnow I do not have VAG-COM. So I haven't cleared coolant temperature sensor fault from ECU. It takes upto 5KM to reach between 80 and 90. Any ideas.

I am also facing the same problem. But the coolant gauge sits between 80 and 90. Vagcom shows error with coolant temperature sensor. So check this sensor too.

I have faced the same problem when changing bulb. When I pushed the bulb, the holder disappeared. I pulled it using a nose piler again and put a drop of instant adhesive ( fevi kwik ) on the holder edges. Now I was able to put the bulb without problem. Due to frustration, i slightly damaged the holder edge when pulling

I am getting rattling noise during clutch release sometimes from 1.9 TDI mk1 model. i.e. when i release clutch quickly in a slope, it is making vibration noise in the right side underbody. But I couldn't find the source. Any suggestions.
