  1. I read someplace that there are 3 usb ports on the back of the radio unit that can be used for various purposes. Is it true that they exist? Would it be possible to use them in order to have a bluetooth connection for my phone to play music? How? If not, how can i put bluetooth to my car, for music via my phone, without installing an aftermarket navi or 12v socket modulator? Priority would be sound quality, if possible. Thanks.
  2. This is an image from a listing of a 2008 Octavia Vrs. It has an interesting information, the cardinal direction shown on the display alongside a sugestive arrow. I am curios if it is possible to activate it (and others if there are) on my non-Vrs, also 2008 Octavia. Thanks.
  3. The doors do not lock. I am able to exit the car normally after doing it. On the maxidot there is nothing displayed regarding any door being open. The passenger side door, however, registers as open only if it is opened silghtly, as in not closed properly, that "inbetween", but I don't think it has something to do with that.
  4. After switching ignition on, then off, then on again, then off again, without removing the key, the hazards come on for 3 cycles. The beeping for when I lock/unlock the car also sounds 3 times. What does it mean? I found nothing regarding this in the manual or anywhere else.
  5. Hello. I am wondering if there is any way for me to make use of the buttons on the radio while using my phone for music via AUX. Using the skip buttons to skip a song instead of being able to do that exclusively from my phone, for instance. Pressing any of them does nothing for now. Trim is Elegance if that matters.
  6. Tried it and it worked several times, so for now simply pushing the key in slightly while turning the engine off will do the trick. Thank you for your inputs.
  7. I found out that pushing the key more into the barrel turns the radio back on as if it was working as intended. So it is a problem within the ignition barrel, as suggested above. When pushing the key more inwards, the key goes in a bit, and then the whole barrel goes in a bit. Now do you reckon there would be a way to fix this without too much hassle (mechanic/replacing whole barrel)? I had the barrel worked on a while ago because after inserting the key it would not turn at all, but this problem is present from before that, so I don't think that that repair messed with something related to this.
  8. For more info, I have my phone connected via aux for music, and I do nothing else except turn the engine off. In the owner's manual nothing similar to my question is described anywhere.
  9. In my 2008 Octavia I listen to music via aux cable, and sometimes when I turn the engine off, the radio will stay on and the music will keep playing until I take the key out of the ignition. How do I make it so this happens all the time? It is annoying for it to only happen from time to time, as I find it a good feature, not having to keep engine on to finish listening to the song.
