  1. Hello forum. I have a 2000 Fabia that has a few problems. The front driver's side door stopped locking. I replaced the locking mechanism, but still not working. I visually inspected the connections on the both ends (locking mechanism and bellows) and it looked fine. Unfortunately I don't have a multimeter, but it does seem to me like this is an electrical issue. Another problem is when I'm driving, people will flash their brights at me, pointing to my headlights. A couple people opening and closing their fists, indicating I think that my headlights are sporadically flashing. I replaced the battery with a new Varta 52 but people are still flashing at me. I heard that this could be a problem with the steering angle sensor? I checked the fuse by the battery, and it was fine. Any ideas on what this could be or how to go about diagnosing it? Also, the front door on the driver's side came with a missing pull rod for the locking mechanism. I've looked on a few websites but couldn't track down the part. Does anyone know where I could get a replacement?
  2. Greetings from Prague. Been a Toyota guy my whole life, but decided to give Skoda a try. Got an old Fabia for a good price, but alas it came with some problems, as all 25 year cars would. Going to be driving this car from Prague to Italy soon. Hopefully I don't get stranded. 😬
