  1. Has anyone got a wiring diagram of the ignition circuit for a MK2 Octavia diesel?
  2. OK. Thanks guys. Appreciate the help so far. I will research both suggestions. 👍
  3. Ok. The car is now stuck in a very inconvenient position and locked in PARK mode (auto transmission). Is there a way of by passing the ignition key or disengaging the PARK transmission selector position and putting it into NEUTRAL?
  4. Hi Warrior. thanks for the welcome. It is a normal steering lock, not keyless. The key does turn normally. The battery is pretty new, about a month old and everything has been working fine until today (apart from the cabin heater blower). Car has been starting easily. I have a diagnostic tool but there is no diagnostic communication presumably because the ignition is not on even though the key is in the correct position.
  5. Hi there. My 2006 Octavia diesel estate has no ignition lights. The car locks and unlocks correctly, the radio and interior lights work and the sidelights come on (but no headlights). However, there is no ignition, no cranking, and the steering lock doesn't seem to engage. I have checked all fuses under the bonnet and on the side of the dashboard, all good and correctly positioned. The main 100A relay in the under bonnet fuse box has been checked and is functional, but it is not triggered when the ignition key is turned. Recently, the cabin blower stopped working prior to this problem. Any ideas what the problem could be? Is there another fuse somewhere specifically for the ignition circuit?
