  1. I have a similar story to this...I bought my Kamiq from new back in 2020 and had multiple situations where the SOS light came on. Most times, the fault cleared by itself, but I had a software update in around 2022 as the fault didn't clear. Move forward 2 years and with several further temporary instances, the warning is now permanently on. Of course, the car is now out of warranty, so it's cost me £168 for Skoda to tell me that the control module needs replacing at a cost of £1,200! Frankly, I find this quite shocking, when Skoda are well aware that there is a general fault with their cars! They refuse to do anything for me! I gather the problem affects a lot of other VAG cars, so I know I'm not alone. I for one will not be buying another Skoda! I've tried the suggestions on this forum (and others), resetting everything, but to no avail. An independent Skoda specialist was most apologetic and told me that Skoda charge around £900 for the module, and a further sum to get it coded correctly to your car, so he couldn't beat the frankly horrific Skoda price!
