  1. Handbrake hadn't been holding since last Aug - car still within saleroom 1 yr warrantee but they didn't want to look at it as they had just replaced a front shock absorber on the warrantee. KwifFit tweeked it which helped a bit. Since Dec, even although I park in gear with hanbrake off, the rear brakes were sticking when I tried to move off. Within the last two weeks, the foot brake was crunching and much harder to get to work. KwikFit found leaking brake fluid and were hoping the bearings hadn't been damaged, but they were. Brakes passed MOT last August and had been checked in July service. A bit of a mystery... Footbrake and handbrake now working extremely well, but after shelling out £988 I would hope so. No warning light came up on dash, apparently no sensor attached to rear brakes. That's bonkers! Thanks for your interest.
  2. I've just had to have rear brake drums, shoes, cylinders, wheel bearings replaced on a 69 Reg Fabia with only 44,000 on the clock. Just wondering if it is normal to require all of this? Thanks loads.
