New Superb Mk4 PHEV. The charging port either won't open because it's frozen or it won't close. If it won't open, I'm applying ~70 C heat from a heat gun and I've so far been able to open it that way. The far bigger problem is that the latch won't stay closed! Even if I apply silicone spray to the prong so that it moves (if the weather is in the negative, the prong moves very sluggishly), it for some reason won't keep the latch closed! I have to sit in the car, open the window, reach out to the latch with a snow brush, and lock the doors from the console to lock the latch! Of course it pops open the minute a door opens. This is infuriating. What the hell should I do about this? Just take it to the dealership?
