  1. OK, found the tank - no chewed wires etc underneath! - is there a way to get to the top of the tank without removing the beggar? 12v on both sides of fuses 1 and 20 too - so not a 'central' electrical fault - but I bet there is a lot of wire between the fuses and the tank!
  2. Hi happy Kodiaq owners! My beastie has decided that she doesn't like something in the adblue system: P203B00 - Reductant Level Sensor Circuit Range/Performance static P208A00 - Reductant Pump "A" Control Circuit/Open static P249C00 - Excessive Time To Enter Closed Loop Reductant Injection Control static With there being multiple codes relating to different circuits, my initial thought is that it could be an wiring fault, rather than the pump and the sensor both being borked. Does anyone have any experience with these codes, or getting to the pump etc without dropping the tank off the car? Ta muchly.
  3. Cheers @rum4mo . My only issue with using the strengthened sills for the axle stand point, is how to jack it, then insert the axle stand. I refuse point blank to stick my head under a car which is just up on a jack! Or maybe I'm being dense (happens regularly) and I'm not getting you!
  4. Jacked the beast up yesterday, to do an oil change, went to put an axle stand under - and found a sea of plastic! There is a circular removable plug which covers an area of metal approx 5 or 6 cm diameter - is this where you are supposed to put an axle stand on this thing? Also, of course my axle stands are absolutely not the right shape to support this - anyone have an example of a good axle stand (or an adapter which might fit?) Thanking you in advance! GrumpyMike.
  5. Thanks, so it is a DTSB engine. darn websites and dodgy part look ups. Looks like it's off to halfords in the morning for a different oil filter!
  6. Hi, I have a Skoda Kodiaq 2.0 TDI Service history says the engine number is DTSB170xxx. Which I assume means it is a DTSB engine. However, most sites I try to buy a filter off tell me that the correct filter is for a DBGC or DFGA engine. I am working on the assumption that the docs I have are correct - but don't love to assume before I start working on a car.... The sticker on the timing cover says MKB DTS170602 - which I guess is another reference code that I can't decode :( Why on earth did they stop putting the stickers with all the codes in the boot! And, to compound it all, I messaged Skoda customer service to ask which type of oil I need, and I got this back: "Thank you for contacting Škoda UK regarding the type of oil that is compatible with your vehicle and its capacity. The oils compatible with your vehicle are: VW 507 00 VW 509 00 For the Škoda Octavia, the oil capacity is typically around 4.5 to 5.5 liters." Which obviously concerns me, seeing as they referenced the Octavia rather than the Kodiaq. Can anyone reassure me which engine I have, and what size of sodding oil filter I need. Or even better if anyone can access all the option codes for a car, I would be eternally grateful (obvs I would DM the VIN)! Thanks in advance. GrumpyMike.
  7. Hi all. I've had my 70 plate Kodiaq Diesel 2.0 in again today, for the above fault. A couple of months ago, the glow plug with integrated pressure sensor was replaced, and the EML went away. In the last few weeks, it has been back intermittantly with the same fault. Took it back to the garage today, and they (without getting auth, I will add) did a software update on it - apparently advised by Skoda Technical Services. This is apparently the subject of a TSB or some such similar acronym! Has anyone on here had similar experience, or can anyone shed any light on a TSB for the above fault? It all sounds a bit weird to me. Ta. GrumpyMike
  8. Thanks Yogi-Bear. I guess I'll have to put up with it. TBF, I usually have voice prompts on when I'm navigating somewhere I don't know so it doesn't really make that much difference, it was just odd! Thanks for the info about Aircare - I'll have to look into what exactly it does more. I assumed that it wasn't doing any pollen / dust / crap filtering if it was turned off.
  9. Hi. I've recently purchased a Kodaiq 2021 built/ 20 plate, and it has the Columbus infotainment jobbie, with an anaolg dash / colour lcd sreen in the middle thing. Other than the batsh*tness of it forgetting the driving mode & aircare setings every time you leave it alone for 5 minutes, and the infotainment screen just being too darn low down, the only thing annoying me so far is thus: Every time Waze (on wireless android auto) is telling me to use a roundabout, the little nav repeater on the dashboard tells me to go all the way round and go back on myself - no matter which exit I actually need, and no matter what Waze is showing on the main screen. Has anyone else experienced this and managed to fix it, is my car just a lil bit special, or do I just have to live with it. The software is fully up to date as far as I can tell ( it has done a couple of updates in the weeks since I've had it). Here's hoping that this is the most annoying thing it ever does!
