  1. Do you know how wide they were? I cant find MCR2 with et42 (assuming you kept the original bold space of 5x112). In 19' I found the following dimensions on their website: 19'x8j et48 19'x8.5j et28, et38, et43
  2. Unfortunetly, not in Croatia, we have to pay an additional 800-900 EUR for Elias. Anyhow, I do expect any change to affect the suspension and the car’s handling, but I would also hope the impact would be positive when switching to lighter wheels. Still, while I have a basic understanding of physics, I’m certainly not an expert on the topic. I only started looking into it today, so I’m happy to be corrected. 😅 I also found an interesting article on the subject: “Unsprung Mass with In-Wheel Motors – Myths and Realities” by Martyn Anderson and Damian Harty, in case anyone else here is interested in exploring this topic. 😄
  3. Actually, the wheels I am interesed in are lighter then the OEM ones. 18' Comet wheels that came with the car weight about 13.5kg each and 19' Elias that is also an option is abou 12.5kg each. Wheels that I am most interest in are Motec MCR4 Ultimate (size 19') which are about 8.5kg each. So it would actually be less unsprung weight. But not sure if the dealer could fight a warranty claim due to them being slighly wider even if they were certified.
  4. Hi guys, I am currently looking into buying some aftermarket 19' rims for my 2025 Octavia RS and I am wondering what size rim can safely fit on it. OEM rims are 18x7.5j et48 and 19x7.5j et48, but most 19' aftermarket options that I am interested in do not come in 7.5j width. The most common size for 19' rims that I came across are: 19x8j et48 19x8.5j et45 I imagine that 19x8j et48 should fit fine as it is only 13mm wider that the OEM one (6.5mm outwards and 6.5mm inwards). 19x8.5j et45 differ from OEM more so I am not sure if they would fit safely as they are 26mm wider (16mm outwards and 10mm inwards). Since I am already not keeping to OEM size, I would like to get 19x8.5j et45 but would like to confirm if they fit before making a purchase. Does anyone here have experiences with those rim sizes on their cars? Also, would having not OEM rim size on the car void the warranty? Thanks
