I'm looking at used ex Superb units. There are a few on eBay, around £150 upwards.

Thanks a lot pab. Alas this solution is way beyond my abilities so I shall have to(a) find someone who can perform the fix for me. Or (b) just get a replacement unit, and try to flog the faulty one. Either way I'm grateful for your steer.

The Columbus unit in my Superb Elegance 2012 has no sound and the screen language has changed to German. If I try to change it to English it tells me (in German) that it's loading, but it just hangs and does nothing. My local 'expert' thinks it's sh***ed and advises replacement. Two queries: 1) are these known symptoms and is there a cure? 2) I can see used units forsale on Ebay. My unit's model no. is 3TO035680E. There are a few units for sale on eBay with the same model number but a different final letter, A B C or D, though they all come from Superbs. Is this final letter significant?
